IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN!  It’s time to come out of our long winter hibernation and prepare for the new season!  Although it may not feel like it - Spring has sprung. The first day of Spring was March 19th… and wiping away the excess pollen isn’t your only job this year!

20.  Get FRAMED!

• Wipe down all picture frames & computer monitors.

19. WARDROBE Change!

• Pack up winter clothing and replace it with your spring & summer wardrobe (including shoes!).
• Wipe down all shelving and vacuum the closet floor.

18. KITCHENS

• Scrub those counters.  Remove all items and really go at it!
• Remove items from your refrigerator, freezer and pantry.  Clean and sanitize all areas.
• Check expiration dates before returning items. 
  • This is your opportunity to ditch the (7) half-empty bottles of salad dressing that expired in 2019!
• Pull out all the large appliances and clean behind them!

17. BATHROOMS

• Clean the shower heads.
  • (We recommend filling a ziplock bag with vinegar and tying it over your shower head for a minimum of 2 hours, then wipe clean!)
• Clean-out and/or consolidate shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles.
• Reorganize the medicine cabinet.  Throw out unused or expired products.
• Clean the fan cover and/or light fixture cover.
• Wipe down the walls.

16. BEDROOMS

• Move beds & dressers away from walls - clean behind them!

15. LIVING ROOM

• Cushion covers - if removable, take them off and wash them.
• Use vacuum cleaner attachments to clean inside of couch crevices.

14. GARAGES & BASEMENTS

• Don’t forget these areas!
• Clean & Reorganize.
• Use a leaf blower to blow out debris from the garage.

13.  LAUNDRY ROOM

• Clean the washer & dryer:
  • Remove & sanitize soap dispensers.
  • Remove & clean the agitator.
  • Clean the inside of the rubber gasket on front-load washing machines (they get moldy!).
  • Clean the lint trap with a brush to remove excess lint.
  • Clean the filter on the washing machine.
  • Run the cleaning cycle on the washing machine with the recommended cleaning product.

12. Sanitize all TRASH & RECYCLING containers.

11. Clean/Shampoo all carpets.

10. Take apart your vacuum cleaner and clean it!  Clean all hoses, filters, etc.

9. Clean your windows, window sills and inside the tracks.

8.  Clean your TV Screens

• Move Indy recommends using microfiber cloths with glass cleaner.  Always spray onto the cloth, NOT directly onto the TV or screen!

7. Clean the covers to your HVAC vents. 

• It’s also a great time to see if your return air filters need replacing!

6. AC Units

• Using window AC units?  This is a great time to get them out of storage and clean them before re-installing. 
• Remember to clean and/or change air filters. 
• Make sure those windows are clean before re-installing!

5. Clean and dust lamp shades - inside & out!

4.  Wipe down all light switches and door knobs.
